First off, my site was broke for a few weeks. Its working again, but is in need of work.
Second, my dog just farted the smelliest fart ever farted by any man or beast.
Last I left off I had just finished my 20 mile run and taper had begun. Last Sunday was my last double digit run. We made it worthwhile with some hillwork. By hills, I mean a pedestrian overpass.
With 8 days to go, its time to do some planning. I need to figure out some logistics, such as how many Nuun and Gels I should have on me, where to park, when to arrive, what to wear and etc.
Then there are the really important issues I need ironed out like what will my finish line pose be? And where I will be celebrating afterwards? And what will I eat after 26.2? (the answer to that is “everything in sight”).
Speaking of food. I have 8 miles on the schedule and what better way to get them in than with the GP Runners’ Pancake Run #3. That’s 8 easy miles followed by 8 delicious pancakes from the Original Pancake House.
No better motivation than pancakes. Mmmmm pancakes.
