This may have been my most active January in a while.
I ran 60 miles. I expect this number to only go up as the year progresses.
About 40 miles of cross-training which was a combination of bike and elliptical.
10 rest days, which includes the first 2 days of the year before I got back on the wagon.
I also lost about 4 pounds. Maybe more, I haven’t weighed in on over a week, however super bowl may have knocked me back.
And my weekly recap:
I took it fairly easy this week in hopes to rest up the legs for Sunday’s race.
3.35 miles on the treadmill followed by 69 push-ups. Was feeling good.
10 miles on a recumbent, reading for school.
Core workout of 27 sit-ups, 52 rotational crunches and 2 x 20 sec of low plank done in a Tabata circuit.
73 push-ups – should of waited a day between before the next push-up workout.
Wednesday and Thursday
Rest days, unplanned.
3.22 miles on the treadmill followed by 100 crunches and 78 push-ups (arms were dead after).
Spent some intimate time with the foam roller in preparation of Sunday’s hill fest.
Rest, unless you want to call running all over town grocery shopping followed by 2 games of bowling cross-training.
Race day! Kahtoola Michigan ‘Mountain’ Run. Race review in the works. Will probably be posted Tuesday or Wednesday. Waiting on some photos to be posted.
