If there’s one thing I’ve learned about my running habits over the past year or so, its that I prefer arctic runs.
I’ve only ran 4 races this year and only one of those didn’t have snow on the ground. My last race was back in May and looking ahead I haven’t really planned any summer races. I have a couple prospects, though:
- 42nd Annual Stony Creek Distance Run, August 1, Shelby MI
- Rock & Root Ramble, August 25, Goodells, MI
Come fall, I have plenty of races planned and a few tentative ones.
|9/2||Golab-K 5K||Hamtramck, MI|
|9/15||Romeo 2 Richmond Half Marathon||Richmond, MI|
|10/12||Run the Pointe 5K/10K||Grosse Pointe, MI|
|10/20||Detroit International Half Marathon||Detroit, MI|
|11/28||Detroit Turkey Trot 5 & 10 K (Drumstick Double?)||Detroit, MI|
I will definitely be in the two half marathons. Most likely Run the Pointe since its down the street and part of the Hanson Race Circuit
The Turkey Trot is now a 3-year tradition with me and my sister-in-law, Emily (whose birthday is today) and even my two sisters joined us last year. So I can consider that one booked.
I’m still a half marathon short of my goal, however. I set out to do 4 this year. Any suggestions?
